A Digital Recap

I'm finally back into my blog routine since having my parents in town. Below are a few digital scrapbook pages from my parents visit. Most of our visit was spent lounging in the pool, playing bowling on Wii and visiting many tourist attraction such as Market Square. Enjoy...

Last time I posted scrapbook pages, a few friends asked how I did it. Well for those who are curious I'll share. I download free elements from blogs (really awesome ones demingglobal passed on to me, which I would be happy to share), then I use my Paint Shop Pro program to piece the elements together to create these really cute page. I'm still new at this, there are so many more creative possibilities out there that I'm excited to explore, but it's loads of fun. Oh did I mention the best part, besides the purchase for the program and the $3-$5 (8x8 and 12x12) Shutterfly charges to print the pages it's free!

Happy Easter

I had the joy of celebrating the Lord's Resurrection with my parents.
Take note of the Kleenex lying around, the whole house, all four Dohner's are sick, yuck!

My beautiful mom and baby Briar.

Papa Rick and Brie coloring eggs.

While we were all too sick to make it to church we had a great day celebrating at home. It even involved some of my mamma's yummy fried chicken, thanks to a new cast iron skillet.

How did you celebrate this Resurrection Sunday?

Happy Half Birthday Briar

Today Briar turned six month.

Good Morning Briar!

One of Briar's major six month milestones is that her bottom two teeth are coming in, hence the finger's in the mouth.

Nom, nom, nom these taste good.

Brie is also excited about Briar's big day, to her it means one more day closer to a fully functional playmate. Mommy's kinda excited about that too.

My little Dohner Girls!

Build-a-Bear Workshop

I did the unthinkable today in the Dohner household, I took Brieto to Build-a-Bear Workshop; and she LOVED it.

Meet Bear.

Bear Dohner born April 3, 2009

We decided that Brie has been such a good girls lately she could get a special treat. Instead of going out to Sea World I decided to take her out for a day at La Cantera to visit B&N, the playgroup and Build-a-Bear Workshop.

The experience was actually a lot of fun. Once we received our instructions Brie was excited to begin picking out her bear, remarkably she choose the cheapest Bear. Next we filled our bear with lots of love, which Brie was terrified to do, so I helped. Next she gave her bear bath and we were off to pick out her clothes. Which Brie was very good at, once I redirected her away from the trashy bear clothes that is (a whole new topic). After Brie selected her "Lamb Bus Around" shirt we appropriately named her bear "Bear Dohner", picked up our birth certificated and headed home.

Here they are Brie and Bear

This smile is so worth $17.
