Favorite Foods was this weeks Muffin Tin Monday theme. I had grand intentions of designing a sandwich to look like a chocolate chip cookie, creating a "cupcakes" from potatoes and carrots, and making an ice cream sundae out of all fresh fruit--but, alas that didn't happen!
Instead I made the girl's favorite dinner, put it in a muffin pan and topped it with a few pieces of candy. There's nothing ambitious or creative in this Taco Bar meal, some MTM are just like that!
Of course there's always next Monday and Rodeo Themed Tins!
I love the candy mixed with lettuce. JDaniel normally doesn't touch lettuce. With this wonderful meal he would at least have to touch it to pick up the candy.
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of using each cup as an element in a make-your-own taco! I've always just done each-cup-is-something-you-eat-separately. But my daughter saw this and is very keen for a burrito version one day! :o)
ReplyDeleteYour taco meal looks yummy and I do love the M&Ms on the lettuce. My 6 year old only started eating lettuce about a month ago thanks to his big sister's encouragement!
ReplyDeleteI think it's a great idea to put different parts of the taco salad in the tins!
ReplyDeleteI love the taco bar! Alas, my kid would just eat each component separately. And skip the greenery entirely! But I have let her put frosting on her broccoli, to get her to eat it, so candy is a nice twist!
ReplyDeleteI love this idea of a taco bar. Tacos are actually one of my daughter's favorites. Thanks for sharing!
