Brave, Not So Much

Can I just say, thank you Disney for not making another "I Need A Prince"movie or a "Woman Needs No Man" movie.  Instead thank you for telling a story of a family who loves each other, and wants the best for each other.  Seriously, Brave is one of the best animated movies I have seen in a long time.  Really long time.  However, it was too intense for my girls.
You see we started off all smiles, it's a rare treated for us to see a movie on opening night, with daddy.
We were smiling during the previews, enjoying the snacks mommy brought in her over-sized purse.  Yes, I shamelessly bring my own popcorn and Sour Patch Kids to the theater.  After spending $35 to get a seat, I felt Regal had recieved enough of my money! Ah, I digress.
However, once the movie started, the smiles turned to intenses worry, and even tears at time.
Guess I should have listen to all the reviews I read, the movie was too much for my easily scared children.  However, I felt the story was a dear, sweet tale of a Mother/Daughter relationship.  A plot worthy of sharing with my girls.  Just maybe again when they're seven and nine!

  1. I just loved BRAVE! Colin was a little freaked out a few times, but holding my hand was enough for him.

I agree with you, the movie was awesome!
