Sea World Camp, Day Two

It's hard to imagine what would be on a group of toddlers bucket list,
but I imagine somewhere one might find a list that includes....
Watching stingrays swim,
from the TOP of a giant aquarium (If you look close, you too can spot a Sting-Ray).
How about a chance to touch a dolphin.
Or maybe, just, maybe you'll find one which includes "pet an African Spiked Tortoise",
as if any four year old has ever heard of an African Spike Tortoise before.
Let alone fed one lettuce.
Thankfully after our day at Sea World Adventure Camp my girls can check those experiences off their bucket list,
and I can check, "Enjoy my children every day" off today's list!

Sea World Adventure Camp, Day One

Meet my Sea World Adventures, The Killer Whales!
This morning we met our fellow Small Wonders, Killer Whale friends and embarked on a week long mommy (and daddy) and me adventure.

Today's agenda included spending some time interacting with those endearing water mammals, The Dolphins.  Apparently they're a big fan of dead fish, thankfully the girls had no qualms with handing the dolphins frozen snack.

Nor did the dolphins have any trouble eating their frozen treat.

Watching these sweeties love God's amazing creation warms my heart.

Later that morning we marched on to a behind the scenes tour of the Azul show.

At first glance the Beluga Whales only seemed interested in playing with their toys, until the trainers showed up with a cooler full of fish...

Once those beautiful creatures spotted those fish,  they were eagerly willing to earn a tasty treat (and give us a show)!

After a craft, snack, and dress-up lesson it was time to watch the animals in action, it was time for Azul!

The show was the perfect way to end, an adventurous morning with my girls.

Even though I'm not a big animal lover, I can't help to hope my girls dreams of being Animal Trainers and Zoo Keepers comes true.  When ones three year old says, "Mom when I grow up I want to do that. EVERYDAY!" or when ones five year old says, "When I grow up I want to be a Zoo Keeper, can I go to animal school", a mom kinda has to set aside her disdain for animals and embrace the stinky, slobbery, furry world!

Don't Let The Pigeon Direct The Show

Today was a puuurfect day, the culmination of two productive weeks at Camp Showbiz!
Kitty and her brave friends fought off a vulture and one persistent pigeon, to save the Tattoine Hospital Fundraiser from disaster!
This original work of creativity, made mom and dad beam with pride.
Everything from the costumes,
to the script ("What's that in the sky?  A giant vulture, AHHHHHH!")
to the staging,
were produced and performed by the kids in her class!
There was even an Adelle parody, called "Rolling in the dough"!!!
Brieto, we're so proud of you. Your smile, your hard work, your obedient spirit, and your sweet heart-- It is our prayer that you grow to be a godly woman, who loves the Lord, and uses all your gifts and talents for His glory. Way to go Kitty Pigeon!

Let's Get Messy, Day Four

On Thursday the messes returned,
as well as Briar's energy,
and did I mention the messes?
Together we dabbed our Salt Path picture,
we rolled our ball piece,
brushed our awesome watercolor silhouette,
and we used our imagination to produce this "hole" masterpiece.

Check out Briar's squirrel in a hollow tree, so cute!
We may have hit the wall yesterday,
but today, we broke it!

Ohhhh, we just can't wait to find out what messes our last day will hold!  I just hope the day includes quality time with my sweet Briar.  And memories to last a lifetime!

Let's Get Messy, Day Three

Rumor had it that Wednesday was the day all the kids "hit the wall", and indeed that was the case!
Thankfully we were able to get in some time with our mixed media canvas,
edible paint,
eye droppers,
and stain glass piece,
before we crashed right up against the wall!
Awww, what would we do without pillow case?!?

Looking forward to seeing what messy fun Thursday brings!

Let's Get Messy, Day Two

Thus far, our days at the Children's Museum Art Camp have started like this,
and ended like this.
However, no matter the medium; Popsicles,
latex paint,
salt,
tote bag,
or a giant piece of canvas,
you better believe the day's going to be messy!
And really, who doesn't love getting messy?!?

Shh...Don't tell Briar I hate getting dirty, because she's loving the fact momma is playing along!
