As I mentioned before one of my favorite things to do at Disney World is to meet the characters, which is why I'll spring for the stiff price tag that these buffet breakfast come with. Tuesday's trip to the "Mary Poppins's Breakfast" as it's nicknamed, has been my favorite meal thus far. Gluten free Mickey Mouse waffles, made to order omelets, and yogurt parfaits topped with gummy bears...Yummo!
All the food aside we paid the $$$ to hug the characters.
Who were some of the friends we met you ask?
Why Mary Poppins of course, it is her breakfast after all.Tigger bounced over to our table once or twice.
Pooh was another sweet treat for the girls.
Alice was quite lovely,
so lovely I wanted a photo with her as well.
Finally, we met Belle, pre-princess Belle. Brie was very excited to find her at our table. Apparently, the Mad Hatter (who we had both expected and dreaded to meet) was late for an UnBirthday Party, so Belle stepped in to visit with us instead.
Although, Mom and I found her to be a bit cheeky, we decided she must have had a run in with that blasted Gaston recently. It was the only solid theory we could come up with. Reasonable, right?
Alas, we had stuffed our bellies, hugged our friends and paid our check. The morning was "practically perfect in every way". Almost. We still hadn't visited the gift shop.
Call me generous, call me a spoiler, or call me just plain crazy, but our Disney souvenir rule is One Gift, Per Kid, Per Day. A wise man once told me, "We don't go on vacation to save money, we save money to go on vacation". The girls had saved their money, so to the gift shop we went.Brie chose six colorful Mickey Mouse hair extensions, which immediately she adorned.
Briar selected a set of small Rapunzel dolls, enclosed in a purple carrying case.
With a delightful morning behind us, all that was left to make the day extraordinary was a trip to the pool...
I LOVE YOUR RULE!!
