{Homeschool Weekly Round Up} Growing Up Wild Class

I love when I stumble upon really awesome stuff.  Like the Medina Nature Area's $6 Home School Classes.  Can you say, "Woo-Hoo"?
You bet.  So can one of the Growing Up Wild Series critters.  The owl was the first featured animals in our "Who Lives In Trees" class.
The morning was filled with lots of Earth Science facts.  We learned about the Gray Squirrel, through a "squooshy, squooshy tail song".
We explored the parts of a tree trunk with these "Cedar Cookie Necklaces".
On our nature walks we discovered things like,
Juniper leaves,
viable acorns,
healthy soil,
and tree bugs.
Rooney bug did a great job participating in the interactive poem.
All and all it was a six dollars well spent,
especially with smiles like that!
