{American Heritage Girls} High Tea

Have you ever been to high tea?
Last Valentine's Day was our families first experience, and it was a jolly good time.
This Ole' Chap helped wait tables at Brie's American Heritage Girl's Mother/Daughter Tea Party,
while us lovely ladies sipped tea in style.
We even made tea hats for the occasion.
A fun test of creativity.  As you can see by the hedgehog adorned on the top of Brie's evening hat.
But, alas, Rooney's birds nest took home most creative hat, her cuteness is tough to resist.
A perfect way to end a delightful evening of tea.

American Heritage Girls Award Night

Meet American Heritage Girl Troop 0312.
Brie is part of the Pathfinder class.
Last night she did an awesome job singing a Christmas poem with her friends,
and receiving her next bead.
Great job Brieto, we're so proud of you.

Operation Christmas Child

One of my favorite things about the American Heritage Girls organization, is all the service opportunities it provides.
Last Thursday at troop meeting the girls packed their very own Operation Christmas Child boxes,
but yesterday we had the chance to take the ministry of OCC one step future by volunteering at a Relay Center.
It was a neat experience to see what happens to the boxes after one fills them with all their goodies.
Both my volunteers had fun counting, sorting and packing,
so proud of my American Heritage Girl!

Happy Veteran's Day

Today Brie had the opportunity to serve her community by,
making baked goods for the men and women at today's Veteran's Day Ceremony.
Briar and I were unable to attend,
but daddy did a great job capturing the morning.
We're very proud of you Brie.
Happy Veteran's Day, America.  Thank you to all who have served!

{Brie} Our American Heriage Girl

Meet our new American Heritage Girl, Pathfinder.
American Heritage Girls is a faith-based scouting program who's mission is, "Building women of integrity through service to God, family, community and country".
Little Brieto became part of troop TX0312 in a joining ceremony last night with her new friends.
This year the Pathfinders will be focusing on what it means to be an American Hertiage Girl,
by using scripture memorization, examples of women of integrity and service projects to live out the AGH Oath.
AGH Oath
"I promise to love God,
Cherish my family,
Honor my country,
and Serve in my community."
Sweet Brie, Mom and Dad are looking forward to watching you grow on this AHG journey.  So proud of you!
