{What's For Lunch Wednesday} Bento Fever

I've had bento fever as we gear up for the school year.  Tomorrow we head out to experience one last HOORAY with our friends before the little ones head off to Kindergarten in two weeks. (Sniff, Sniff).  To celebrate our Funtasical day, I created the girls another cutesy lunch!
This Sassy Lunch Box includes:
  • Babybell Cheese
  • Pretzel Chips
  • Sunbutter and Honey Sandwich Rolls (Yes, that is an entire sandwich)
  • Carrots and Fruit
Yummo!

{What's For Lunch Wednesday} Funny Foul

For the next two weeks Brieto is at Camp Showbiz working on a play titled, Don't Let The Pigeon Direct The Show!
In honor of her role as Kitty Pigeon, I made her this inspirational lunch.
Hopefully, a little Funny Foul will give her an eggcellent day at camp!

{What's For Lunch Wednesday}

Where heading to the beach soon, the ocean to be exact (is the Gulf, the Ocean...hmm) and well my girls are S*U*P*E*R excited. They want to see the fish nibble, the crabs crawl and the sea monster growl! Which is why for lunch I feed their excitment some imaginative fuel!

1. A Sea Monster made of Rice Cake, Sunbutter, Cheese Puffs, Strawberry and Grapes
2. A Crab made of Cheese, Turkey and Carrots
3. A Fish made of Peep Bunny, Apple Sauce and Blue Sugar

They loved it, how about you?

{What's For Lunch Wednesday} H is for Heart

If bento lunches are all about being neatly packed, than this has got to be my favorite bento box! For $1 one can cutely pack all this nutritious goodness into one neat and tidy box. Seriously, friends forget the Lunchbot, Lock-n-Lock and Planet Boxes meet my new favorite bento box-The Sandwich Packer!

(H is for Heart)

Today's lunch included a half Sun-Butter and jelly sandwich round, topped with Hebrew National salami and cheese hearts. Three blackberries, two cinnamon heart crackers and a handful of bbq chips. And was rounded out with a muffin cup salad and two Valentine's candy corns.

See now why I'm in love with the sandwich packer? All that food in one tiny, one dollar box--Love!

{What's For Lunch Wednesday} Winter Fun

Today's bento lunch was too cute to wait for Wednesday to post, so here it on Tuesday!

  • Winter bear made from cous-cous, hat pick and fruit leather
  • Snowflake pick of bologna
  • Half of a grilled cheese
  • Three cheese puffs
  • Pickle pieces
  • Fruit leather heart and star

For today's lunch I used a simple sandwich box I bought for a $1 at Walmart. It may seem small at first, but it can truly hold A LOT of food. The cute picks are from a supply of winter themed food picks I bought online at Bake It Pretty. I know, I know --I've been a having a little too much fun with these winter picks, but they're just too cute to not indulge my obsession with! Overall I am pleased with this lunch, I just wish I would have sprinkled a few snowflake wafers through out--too bad it was an after thought!

So have you jumped on the bento wagon???

{What's For Lunch Wednesday} Let It Snow

Another one of Robert's Christmas gifts was a bento box from the Container Store. While it wan't the exact ones I had had asked for (lunchbot), it did come with a neat compartment for yogurt, dips or apple sauce--LOVE!

For today's What's For Lunch Wednesday entry I used my new box to make a snow themed lunch. We don't actually get snow here in TX, but the girls are still fascinated with it!

(snowman sandwich, orange, popcorn, yogurt and snowflake wafers)

The cute snowflake wafers were a Cracker Barrel find and for only $1 I was thrilled to bring them home.

How about you, what did you have for lunch today???

{What's For Lunch Wednesday} Sea World Snacks

My entry for this week's What's For Lunch Wednesday is LAME-O! Our household supply of cutesy-food is dwindling, along with my creative. Never the less, I still managed to come up with a bento style lunch and snack for our trip to Sea World this Saturday.

(Snowflake Crackers, Berry Salad with North Pole Pick, Grapes and Orange Man)

In addition to a lunch, I packed this bento snack.

(Goldfish, Grapes with Clyde & Seamore pick, Christmas Pretzels and Christmas Peep)

Merry Christmas my Bento friends!!!
